More than 1,000 Romanians have already submitted applications for conciliation with the bank or the NBFI with ABDRC this year. This threshold was exceeded on 30 October 2018. Most likely, by the end of December 2018, the number of applications will be more than double the number of those received in 2017, when 505 consumers approached the Alternative Banking Dispute Resolution Centre (ABDRC). With this app, ABDRC takes further steps to help consumers, providing them with the fastest communication methods in order to reduce the waiting times. The app is friendly for both experienced users, as well as persons who are less acquainted with technology, and is beneficial for both traders and conciliators. With this new app, a user has readily available all the supporting documents of their application, which could be required further down the proceedings. The number of Romanians who resolved their disputes with financial and banking institutions via the Alternative Banking Dispute Resolution Centre (ABDRC) increased by more than 12 times in the first six months of the year, up to 188, which shows an increasing high interest of consumers in ABDRC.
