How can one win out of a dispute with a bank without going to court? Just take a “trip” on www.csalb.ro. You don’t even have to come to our offices to have your problems with too high fees, interests or instalments resolved. We went to Constanta to talk to people about ABDRC, and Antena 1 interviewed a consumer who saved more than EUR 6,000 by turning to ABDRC.

During the first eight months of 2018, more than 240 consumers have obtained from banks and NBFIs, with the help of ABDRC, reduction or removal of fees, reduced loan instalments, or even writing off the entire outstanding principal. Of these, approximately 10% are from Constanta. For instance, T.R. of Constanta obtained, further to negotiations with the bank intermediated by ABDRC, removal of the management fee and reduction of the outstanding principal by EUR 2,040. G.D., also of Constanta, obtained closure of the loan and the outstanding principal of EUR 1,331, while C.N, shall no longer pay any management fee. (more…)

The financial services consumers can access the application via www.csalb.ro. The consumer will fill-in the form online, and then he will receive an email with an invitation to access the application. The documents will be uploaded along the registration form, and the processing time is about an hour. Via email, in the classical procedure, the processing time was approximatively one day.

Stifling instalments and payment incapacity can be now avoided with the help of ABDRC. This institution calls upon consumers and the banks to negotiate, and we have seen hundreds of cases of reduced instalments further to the parties reaching an agreement. (more…)

Romanians experiencing problems with banks can now turn, free of charge, to the Alternative Banking Dispute Resolution Centre (ABDRC), and expect a resolution in not more than 90 days, Alexandru Păunescu, spokesperson of ABDRC, declared for MEDIAFAX. The official added that the number of applicants increased by 12 times in the first six months of this year. (more…)
