Having reviewed the casefiles received by the ADR Center, the demands of consumers, and the reasons of the disputes, the Steering Board of ABDRC decided to improve the ADR procedures

so that these would be easier to understand and implement by consumers, traders and conciliators. Another objective was adaptation of the procedures to the types of existing disputes.

First of all, the RON 1,000 threshold was removed, that is the limit under which the alternative resolution procedures with ABDRC could not be commenced before. Thus, regardless the loss claimed by the consumer, everybody is entitled to an amicable settlement of the dispute.

Both alternative resolution procedures are free of charge for consumers.
