The interest and level of consumer awareness with ABDRC increased compared to last year. The results are about 50% better, according to the figures compared.
In the first 3 months of 2017, the following were registered:
- (approximately) 2,660 consumer requests by phone;
- 237 written applications:
- 96 of the written applications were found compliant;
- 139 were questions or requests for miscellaneous/general information to which the Procedural Secretariat replied in writing;
- 2 non-compliant applications.
Means of filing compliant applications:
- 60 were filed by email;
- 23 were brought to, and registered by consumers with the office of ABDRC.
- 13 were mailed by consumers;
Qualification of the 96 compliant applications:
- 13 turned into casefiles;
- 25 in screening phase (reviews of completeness of the documentation, requests for information and supporting documents);
- 58 closed;
- 7 casefiles are currently in progress, in different resolution stages (other than the 13 above), and these were:
- formed in 2016 and continue in 2017 (1 casefile);
- formed in 2017, but original in applications filed in 2016 (6 casefiles).
Qualification of the 19 casefiles managed under the conciliation procedure (1 casefile in 2016 and 19 casefiles formed in 2017, of which two were consolidated):
- 3 resolutions rendered/reports issued;
- 2 preliminary casefiles;
- 12 casefiles in phase of discussions/meetings with the parties (1 casefile comes from two casefiles/2017 which were consolidated);
- 1 inadmissibility resolution;
- 1 casefile in which the trader withdrew from the procedure.
NOTE:

In 10 months of operation in 2016 (March – December), the following were registered:
- 235 compliant applications – 23.5 applications per month;
- 46 casefiles – 4.6 casefiles per month;
- 26 non-compliant applications – 2.6/month.
In the first 3 months of 2017, the following were registered:
- 96 applications – 32 applications per month;
- 19 casefiles – 6.33 casefiles per month;
- 2 non-compliant applications – 0.66/month.
